About the Animal Farm Opera:
The Opera is based on the famous book Animal Farm by George Orwell. In the book, a group of animals stages a rebellion on a dilapidated farm to free themselves from a tyrannical farmer, only to be subjugated to a new despot from their own ranks. A very intriguing analogy on the events leading up to the Russian Revolution of 1917 and then on into the Stalinist era of the Soviet Union.
